Conference of Christians and Jews Opens Four-day Parley

The four-day annual meeting of the National Conference of Christians and Jews opened here today at the Hotel Mayflower to discuss various problems concerning the promotion of goodwill among Christians and Jews in this country.

Among the more than 800 delegates and guests who attended the opening session were leaders in government, industry, education and religion. The gathering will close on Armistice Day with a luncheon at which tribute will be paid to Rogers W. Straus, in recognition of his serving as the Jewish co-chairman of the organization without interruption for 25 years since the Conference was founded.
