Rabbi Amram Blau, leader of the extremist Neteurei Karta, and 11 Yeshiva students arrested with him Wednesday in anti-conscription disorders in the Mea Shearim quarter, were released on bail this week-end.
Earlier, four aged rabbis presented themselves in the office of the chief police inspector of Jerusalem and asked that they be arrested and the Yeshiva students freed since “we are responsible for the disturbances. ” The offer was refused.
