ZIONISTS IN CANADA PLEAD FOR DIRECT ARAB-ISRAEL NEGOTIATIONS
The United Zionist Council of Canada and the Canadian Jewish Congress today expressed their deep regret at the inability of the United Nations to preserve peace in the Middle East and at the alarming deterioration of the situation in this strategic area.
In a joint statement made public here, these organizations pleaded that all freedom-loving people urge that the Arab states enter into direct negotiations with the Government of Israel “so that the present armistice agreements, which have not succeeded in stabilizing this area, be quickly molded into a permanent peace.”
