Mayor Robert F. Wagner has proclaimed this week “Albert Einstein College of Medicine Week” in New York City. A week of activity in behalf of the new medical school will be climaxed in the laying of a cornerstone for the new institution next Sunday.
The medical school, part of Yeshiva University, is the first medical school to be established in the United States under Jewish auspices. It is also the first medical college to be opened in this city in more than 50 years. The institution will be attached to a new municipal hospital going up in the Bronx.
