The Lord Mayor of Kassel, near here, reversed his stand and prohibited the Germany-wide conference of the “Hitler Youth” Division of the Hitler Elite Guard, which had been scheduled there for the week-end. The Lord Mayor acted after trade union leaders warned him an assembly of SS men would result in street demonstrations.
