Jacob Blaustein, honorary president of the American Jewish Committee, reviewed the precarious situation in the Middle East during a long conference today with Henry A. Byroade, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs.
Mr. Blaustein emphasized the necessity, from the standpoint of American interests as well as those of states in the area, to continue diligently to work for peace there and suggested possible procedures toward that objective.
