The memory of Vladimir Jabotinsky, late leader of the Zionists Revisionists, “will remain in Zionist history because of his great contribution to Israel’s independence,” President Itzhak Ben Zvi declared after visiting the Jabotinsky Museum here. “It is only regrettable,” the President added, “that Jabotinsky died prior to the establishment of the State.”
Present at the Museum on the occasion of the President’s visit were Herut Party members of Parliament. The Museum contains documents relating to Jabotinsky’s activities, including records of various underground groups that fought for Israeli independence since the founding of the first of such organizations, “Hashomer.”
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
