A million-dollar dinner for Israel Bond sales is being organized here for September 26, as a testimonial to Barney Balaban, president of Paramount Pictures Corporation and for 35 years a member of the B’nai B’rith. The testimonial is being arranged by the Metropolitan Council of B’nai B’rith.
In announcing the special tribute, the B’nai B’rith pointed out that Mr. Balaban played a major role in the founding of the Anti-Defamation League, is a member of the Israel Bond Organization’s board of governors, and chairman of the amusement division of the United Jewish Appeal.
