A United Nations truce observer today discovered the tracks of four men leading toward the Egyptian lines from the scene of an explosion which had disrupted the main water line serving Jewish settlements in the Negev, Israel’s southern desert area, it was officially announced here today.

The blast, apparently set off by a landmine, occurred last night. The announcement of the attack revealed that the pipeline had been blown up in a similar fashion in the same neighborhood several weeks ago.
