Under the watchful gaze of Israel Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Moshe Dayan, UN truce chief Maj. Gen. E. L. M. Burns, foreign military observers and high ranking Israel Army officers, Israel paratroopers yesterday put on the greatest mass jump exercise in the history of the Israel Army.

Beside the fact that the largest contingent ever to plummet cut of the Israel skies landed “behind enemy lines, ” for the first time vast stores of cannon, anti-tank guns, vehicles and supplies were dropped together with the air infantry. The jump took place in Galilee as the concluding phase of the Army’s maneuvers.
