The Neturei Karta, ultra-Orthodox group, proclaimed today a day of fasting and prayer against the arrest of a number of its leaders for demonstrations and street fighting in its campaign to end traffic in Jerusalem on the Sabbath. Some members of the group held a public prayer session.

Rabbi Amram Blau, head of the Neturei Karta movement, and six others arrested in recent demonstrations, were today transferred from jails here to Ramleh prison when they refused to accept bail. Twelve others who accepted bail were released.
