Eric Johnston Leaves for Israel to Discuss Development Plan

Ambassador Eric Johnston, President Eisenhower’s personal envoy to the Near East, left by plane yesterday for Israel. He will spend some time in Israel and in the Arab states discussing the American plan for regional development of the resources of the Jordan River. This is Ambassador Johnston’s third visit to the Near East for this purpose.
