State Department sources said today that the question of the United States adhering to the British-Iraq-Turkish structure was not under active consideration here at the present time.

The reason given by these sources is that the State Department deems adequate for the time being the present American relationships with the states involved. It was pointed out that the United States has existing strong links with Britain and Turkey as well as a military grant aid agreement with Iraq.
