Despite the fact that Iraq is under a pledge not to use American arms for aggressive purposes, Iraqi Foreign Minister Burnhauddin Bashayaan today summoned the Egyptian Ambassador in Baghdad to his office and informed him that Iraq will extend all possible aid to Egypt against Israel, a cable from the Iraqi capital says.
It is also reported here today from Amman that the Premier of Jordan has informed Egypt that his government is ready to send military help to Egypt in the event that the Gaza clashes with Israel develop into open warfare.
