New York’s Mayor Robert F. Wagner left Israel today after a four-day visit, expressing himself as deeply impressed by the achievements of Israel and assuring the Israel people of the sympathy of New Yorkers. He noted that both Americans and Israelis fight for democratic ways of life.

Last night he was the guest of the Israel-American Friendship League and this morning he toured Tel Aviv as a guest of Mayor Abraham Levanon. He also met with Tel Aviv Chief Rabbi I. J. Unterman and other leading citizens of Tel Aviv.
