Abba S Eban Israel’s permanent delegate to the United Nations reviewed the Gaza border situation today at a meeting with Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold. Ambassador Eban was to see Henry Cabot Lodge Jr. United States delegate, later this evening.
It is believe here that if the current cease-fire along the Gaza strip frontier holds up for several days Israel and Egypt may resume their talks aimed at pacification of the frontier The talks were broken off by Egypt late last month and a series of incidents occurred immediately afterwards.
