Celebrations marking the 112th birthday of B’nai B’rith will be held tomorrow by lodges and chapters of the organization from coast to coast, B’nai B’rith headquarters said here today. Oldest and largest Jewish service organization in the world, B’nai B’rith was founded on the East Side of New York City on Oct. 13, 1843.

The observance was officially launched in the nation’s capital Monday at an anniversary luncheon of the B’nai B’rith Administrative Committee held at the Statler Hotel. Greetings to B’nai B’rith from the Jewish community of Great Britain were presented by Barnett Janner, M.P., newly-elected president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, who spoke at the luncheon.
