Egyptian and other attempts to stir up anti-Semitism in the United States to justify the Soviet bloc arms deal with Egypt were denounced today by Philip M. Klutznick, world president of B’nai Brith.

Mr. Klutznick told the opening session of the annual meeting of the B’nai B’rith board that “it is the dastardly act of desperation on the part of some, including Mr. Nasser himself which would justify an arms race induced by Soviet Russia through Egypt by stimulating a smokescreen of anti-Jewish feeling in a country such as ours, where this type of thing has beer declared beyond the pale by all decent people of both political parties and in all walks of society.”
