The American Council for Judaism is committed to peace in the Middle East without presuming to say “whether or not the United States should sell arms either to Israel or to any Arab country” and without speaking “for or against security pacts for Israel or the Arab countries, “Clarence L. Coleman Jr. president of the American Council for Judaism, told its national advisory board ###re yesterday.
But in order to preserve “the purity of our faith and the security of our country.” Mr Coleman continued, the Council is morally obligated to prevent Zionism from creating a false climate of public opinion” when officials of our government are making the most serious derisions.
Mr. Coleman deplored Israeli and Zionist efforts to invoice non-Israeli Jews in Israeli national problems.
