Soviet Reported Training Egyptians in Submarine Warfare at Odessa

Egyptian naval officers and enlisted men are believed to be training in submarine warfare at Odessa, the Soviet Union’s Black Sea port, it was reported here by the London Daily Telegraph in a dispatch from Cairo.

The dispatch said that Russian training of Egyptian personnel followed the first purchase by Egypt of a Russian submarine. It is believed, the Daily Telegraphi correspondent reported, that this training will require “some time.”
