The seventh anniversary of the creation of the Argentine-Israel Chamber of Commerce was celebrated here at a luncheon attended by the Argentine Minister of Economics, Dr. Juan Llamazares, Israel Ambassador Dr. Arieh Kubovy and the new Argentine Ambassador to Israel, Dr. Gregorio Topolevsky.

Mr. Kubovy reviewed commercial relations between the two countries, which began five years ago with the conclusion of the first commercial treaty between them, which called for Israel to receive $9,000,000 worth of Argentine meat, In recent years, Israel has exported to Argentina $2,700,000 worth of goods including citrus products, jeeps, pencils and medical and chemical products, all of which have been well received here.

Dr. Llamazares expressed the hope that commerce between Israel and Argentina would be widened. He compared the two countries in their constructive efforts and stressed the sympathy with which the new Argentine Government viewed Israel and the friendship it felt toward the Jewish State.
