Jews in U.s., Canada, Panama Send Funds for Flooded Synagogues.

Individuals and synagogues in various parts of the United States and in Canada and Panama have contributed to a fund for the restoration of synagogues damaged by floods in Connecticut last year, it was announced here today by Louis Feinmark, president of the Connecticut Community Relations Council, which administers the fund.

Funds received in response to appeals in behalf of the damaged synagogues in Winsted, Putnam and Ansonia have reached $12,000. With what the congregations of the damaged buildings have contributed themselves, the reconstruction fund now stands at some $30,000. The estimate of damage to the structures comes to $60,000.
