A delegation of New York Congressmen and civic leaders representing the Citizens Committee for the Security of Israel today presented a petition to Assistant Secretary of State George V. Allen urging U.S. arms and a security pact for Israel.
The petition, bearing the signatures of 10,000 Jews and non-Jews from Brooklyn, New York was presented by Reps. Abraham Multer and John J. Rooney, both Democrats from New York, Benjamin Browdy, former president of the Zionist Organization of America, and Alexander Hesterberg, chairman of the Citizens Committee.
