Boston Jewish Leader Honored by City; Street to Carry His Name

Joseph Greenbaum, of Newton, Mass., has joined the ranks of a handful of living Americans here who have streets named for them City of Boston. Mr. Greenbaum’s printing plant–Court Square Press–stands on the street named for him. Long active in Jewish and communal affairs. Mr. Greenbaum is a trustee of both the Associated Jewish Philanthropies and the Combined Jewish Appeal of Greater Boston.

He is also a trustee of the Newton Wellesley Hospital, a past president of Temple Emanuel in Newton, a sponsor of the Borroughs Newsboys Scholarship Fund and Beth Israel Hospital. Other activities in which Mr. Greenbaum has been identified include the Hillel House, the Jewish Memorial Hospital and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
