Miriam Karpilov, Yiddish Novelist, Dies in Bridgeport; Was 75

Miriam Karpilov, one of the most popular Yiddish novelists of her day, died here yesterday. She was 75. Born in Russia, she began her writing career in the United States in 1906. In addition to her novels, she was also the author of numerous essays, short stories and novellas.
