A group of six Soviet rabbis headed by Moscow’s Chief Rabbi Solomon Schliffer, welcomed the delegation of the Rabbinical Council of American upon its arrival in Moscow this week-end to study Jewish religious life there, it was reported here today.
The American rabbis conducted Sabbath services in the Moscow synagogue, which was crowded with worshippers, and delivered sermons in Yiddish assuring the Russian Jews that the Jews of the United States are ready to give them any help necessary for their religious needs.
