JERUSALEM (Jun. 28)
Dr. A. Y. Goor, Israel’s Forestry Commissioner, has been invited to visit Israel as an expert through the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. This is the first time that an Israeli has been invited to visit the Soviet Union, through a UN organ or otherwise.
Dr. Goor, who leaves for Moscow next week, has just been elected chairman of the FAO European Committee on Forestry and Afforestation. The author of a number of widely published works on forestry, Dr. Goor previously served as an FAO expert in India and Latin American countries.
