A resolution calling for “speedy implementation” in this state of the U.S. Supreme Court’s desegregation decision was adopted at the fifth annual Educational and Leadership Institute of the North Carolina Association of Rabbis held at Little Switzerland, near here.
The rabbinical group also voted a series of measures to extend Jewish education and to raise its standards, including establishment of a statewide Bureau of Jewish Education.
Other resolutions called for establishment of a court of arbitration to help settle congregational and rabbinical disputes in the state and reaffirmed support of the “circuit-riding rabbi” project.
