TEL AVIV (Sep. 13)
Three Israeli Druze tribesmen were murdered by Arabs during a night attack on a work camp in the Dead Sea region. The camp was deserted except for the three watchmen.
As the authorities put together the picture of the attack, a Jordanian gang crossed the border and stealthily approached the camp. The three dead men were killed by knife wounds. The attackers apparently set up a machine gun emplacement to cover the marauders in the event that there was resistance at the work camp. The attack occurred near Ein Husub, south of the southern edge of the Dead Sea, about three miles from the Jordan line.
