A party of 346 Turkish Jewish immigrants bound for Israel was brought back to Turkey by the Turkish Maritime Lines because of the unsettled situation in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The immigrants, who had sold their homes and personal belongings before embarking on the S. S. Marmara, were debarked and are being sheltered in a communal institution in this city. They are determined to set out again for the Jewish State on the first ship which is allowed to sail for Haifa.
