Akim Spivak, chairman of the Swedish section of the World Jewish Congress, died here following a long illness. He had been active in relief and resettlement efforts on behalf of World War II refugees. A great deal of his work involved the settlement in Sweden of many concentration camp survivors who found refuge in his country.
