Premier David Ben Gurion inaugurated tonight the Israel Government’s 40,000,000 pound “Victory Loan” drive.

Speaking at a rally of leading industrialists and businessmen, Mr. Ben Gurion said that the objectives of the Sinai operation were: elimination of fedayeen bases, opening of the Gulf of Akaba and freeing the Gaza Strip of its invaders. Israel does not intend to allow the invaders to stay in Gaza, he stressed. He said the Sinai campaign had taught Israel the need for a stronger air force.

He called on the people of Israel to remain on the alert against danger but not to panic either because of the arming of the Arab states or because of sharp notes from Soviet Premier Nikolai Bulganin.
