The United Talmud Torahs of Montreal marked its 60th anniversary this week-end at a dinner at which leading educators reviewed the growth of the institution.

The system has a city-wide enrollment of 2, 000. Afternoon classes are attended by pupils who receive their general education in the Protestant schools of the city. The system also runs day schools where children receive both general and Jewish instruction during regular school hours.
