Police, Jewish Community Investigate Vandalism at Phila. Synagogue

The Police Department’s Juvenile Aid Bureau is working in cooperation with the Jewish Community Relations Council’s investigating division to find the youthful gang responsible for acts of vandalism at the West Philadelphia Jewish Community Center. In one incident, 11 windows were broken and bricks, stones and tin cans thrown into the synagogue just after Sabbath eve services. In a second recent incident, stones and cans were thrown through the windows of a classroom on the second floor.
