Rabbi Israel Goldstein and Rabbi Joseph H. Lookstein have been elected unanimously as trustees-at-large of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York, it was announced by Salim L. Lewis, president of the Federation.
Rabbi Goldstein is the spiritual leader of Congregation B’nai Jeshurun and is president of the American Jewish Congress. Rabbi Lookstein is the spiritual leader of Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun. They are both former presidents of the New York Board of Rabbis.
