A number of Poles were sentenced today in the Polish city of Wroclaw for spreading anti-Jewish propaganda, the Warsaw radio reported. The sentences ranged from three to six months.
Polish newspapers reaching here from Warsaw continue to carry articles calling upon the population not to fall under the influence of anti-Jewish elements and warning anti-Semitic agitators of the government policy to deal firmly with persons conducting propaganda against Jews. At the same time, the government-controlled Polish press calls upon the Jews of the country “not to fall into despair” because of the efforts of “some reactionary groups” to sow dissension among the population.
