Jews Expelled from Egypt Are Eligible for United Nations Protection

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees has ruled that Jews exiled from Egypt are refugees eligible for UN protection. His ruling frees him to provide funds for their assistance.

In a report to the executive committee of the refugee office, on which are represented 20 member states. Commissioner Auguste Lindt said that within the next six months he expects 13,800 Egyptians to arrive in Europe as refugees. Of this number. Dr. Lindt expects 10,440 to require the protection of his office and all but 5,000 to eventually re settle in Israel.
