“Israel cannot be held responsible for the consequences of such action as she may feel obliged to undertake in order to safeguard her people,” British Zionist religious Jewry warned here today. The warning was in the form of a resolution adopted at the merger conference of British Mizrachi and Hapoel Hamizrachi.
Speakers at the conference included Chief Rabbi Israel Brodie; Rabbi Mordecai Kirshblum, former president of the Mizrachi Organization of America; and Eliahu Elath, Israel Ambassador to Great Britain.
