A delegation composed of members of the conference of presidents of 17 major national Jewish organizations visited leading Senators today to urge them to express concern over deteriorating conditions in the Middle East. The delegation pointed out that since Israel had withdrawn its troops to the armistice lines, Egypt has returned to the Gaza Strip, refuses to renounce belligerency and is threatening to continue barring Israel ships from the Suez Canal and the Gulf of Akaba.
