U.S. Jewish Leaders Confer with Dulles on Middle East Situation

Representatives of the President’s conference of 17 national Jewish organizations today reviewed with Secretary of State Dulles the Middle East situation as it affects the United States and Israel. The group requested the meeting.

Spokesman Philip Klutznick, of B’nai B’rith, refused to elaborate on the specific subjects discussed. Other representatives included Mrs. Rose Halprin, acting chairman of the Jewish Agency; Rabbi Irving Miller, chairman of the American Zionist Council; Dr. Israel Goldstein, president of the American Jewish Congress; and William Carmen, national commander of the Jewish War Veterans.
