The Israel bond campaign must provide $100, 000, 000 for Israel’s current development budget. Levi Eshkol, Finance Minister, told a delegation of American Israel bond leaders at a special luncheon today.

Israel’s most pressing problem is the provision of 25, 000 housing units a year, Mr. Eshkol said. He noted that even this would hardly cope with the needs of the 100, 000 immigrants expected in 1957. He disclosed that 12, 000 immigrants were expected to arrive during May and that Israel must provide them with effective economic absorption.
