Israel’s Minister to Australia, Max Nurock, spent an hour and a half yesterday discussing a variety of Middle East problems with Australia’s Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee in Canberra. It is highly unusual for the head of a foreign mission to be invited to appear before a Parliamentary committee.
During his appearance, Mr. Nurock was asked scores of questions. His replies were heard in an atmosphere of sympathy and deep interest. The committee represents only the government parties; the Labor Party boycotts it.
