Israel used a new, “sensational” guided missile against Egyptian tanks during the Sinai campaign last fall, according to Gen. Noel Daun, of the French Air Force.
The weapon, conveying a conventional, 12-pound charge, “can destroy any tank or armored car,” Gen. Daun told newsmen yesterday, declaring it had a record of 90 percent of hits. The missile, known as the S-S 10, was fired by Israeli Army men who had been trained by French instructors.
