In the presence of the Mayor of this city and of prominent Christian theologians from the local university, the Jewish community today dedicated its enlarged synagogue–a small house of worship barely large enough for the 100 Jews of Muenster, Four hundred Jews from this city and about 900 from the surrounding area perished during the war in Nazi concentration camps.
