Israel can produce all light weapons but must import armor, warplanes and other heavy equipment, Giora Josephthal, secretary general of the Mapai, said today at a party rally in defense of the Government’s endorsement of the principles of the Eisenhower Doctrine.
Discussing Israel’s needs for foreign economic aid, he said the creation of one job in the Timnah copper mines requires an investment of 80, 000 pounds.
