Download PDF for this date

An Israeli water engineer was murdered today by Syrians who opened fire on him while he was working on Israeli soil. The incident occurred south of Mishmar Hayarden. The engineer was working near the Jordan River at a point south of where he emerges from Lake Huleh. He was shot at from Syrian troop positions and hit.

Earlier today, a settler at Kibbutz Gadott, on the southern edge of Lake Huleh, was wounded when the tractor he was driving hit a landmine placed in the field. The settlement is located near the Syrian border.
