BOSTON (Jun. 23)
The Combined Jewish Appeal of Greater Boston closed its first spring drive this week-end with a total of $6,081,727 for the regular drive and the United Jewish Appeal’s special rescue fund.
Louis H. Weinstein, general chairman and president of the CJA, who resigned both posts at the end of the campaign, said that it was the most successful since 1949. Louis P. Smith succeeded Mr. Weinstein as president and Joseph M. Linsey was named chairman of the 1958 drive.
