Dutch Government Asked to Act Against Arab Boycott Campaign

SIGN UP FOR THE JTA DAILY BRIEFING

Foreign Minister Dr. Josef Luns was asked in the Senate today to consult with other nations on a means of countering Arab boycott and blackmail measures against firms which refuse to end their business connections with Israel, at the behest of the Arab League.

Sen. Pieter J. Kapteyn, a Socialist and member of a Parliamentary delegation to Israel last year, pointed out to the Foreign Minister that an official Netherlands statement on December 22, 1955, rejected as illegal the Arab countries’ economic boycott against the Jewish State.
