Zionist Leaders Told of Achievements of the Z.O.A. Convention

A communication outlining the achievements of the 60th annual convention of the Zionist Organization of America, which took place in New York earlier this month, was addressed today to ZOA leaders throughout the country by Dr. Emanuel Neumann who was reelected president.

The communication emphasized that the convention “provided a forum of international significance for major addresses on Israel and the Middle East by American, French and British statesmen; widely publicized proceedings and resolutions will have their impact on public opinion; indicated a new trend by the emphasis laid on our work on the American scene, in and for the American Jewish community; adopted an additional new project, together with the Jewish. National Fund, in the Adullam area in Israel; took a further step for the encouragement of Aliyah by authorizing the establishment of a Home Loan Fund for American settlers in Israel; and authorized a greatly increased budget for expanded activities in the fields of Hebrew education, public relations, youth activities and adult Zionist education.”
