Touro Synagogue, a National Shrine, Acquires Adjoining Grounds

The Society of Friends of Touro Synagogue announced yesterday purchase of the grounds adjoining the synagogue and that half of the $300,000 fund to restore the national historic shrine had been raised. Dr. Bernard C. Friedman of Newport, who was re-elected president, read a letter of greetings from President Eisenhower.
